    Private equity is the worst thing to ever happen to healthcare. Steward healthcare nearly single handedly destroyed healthcare in Massachusetts. Keep these crooks away from our healthcare.

    Don't you love how nice evil acts in front of the camera. I got here after watching videos of the horror private equity bring to hospitals. We need to outlaw private equity from healthcare. Problem is Wall st. bribes politicians to prevent any pushback against their evil ways.

    Interested? They already frickin' run it, and it should be criminal. Business managers see us as cattle to move through the process as quickly as possible. Profit lies in quantity, not quality. There are no doctor's offices anymore, only health"care" corporations. I have cancer. The disease won't kill me nearly as quickly as the stress of dealing with the cancer "care" corporation's untrained and uncaring administrative staff.

    If you are looking for reliable information on the effect that private equity has on healthcare, you should look elsewhere. This “interview” is nothing more than a veiled advertisement, and seems to purposely avoid even hinting at any of the obvious problems that arise when profit become the sole motive behind providing healthcare. This piece is worse than useless. It is misleading, and not reflective of even the most basic concerns held by the majority of healthcare providers when considering private equity.

    The third leading cause of death is medical errors and when apologizing we frequently know an error occurred and the harm was preventable. This very frequent scenario needs to be handled differently and you can ignore most of the advice given in this interview.

    Haha. Patient’s relative is palpating the abdomen ! And diagnosing appendicitis! Next thing he will us is that relative can do appendectomy too!!

    • @drexlyhealth7702
      @drexlyhealth7702 4 года назад

      =Govind - Be happy to respond to you directly. I never said that a diagnosis would occur via telehealth for appendicitis. Having been a Paramedic for over 8 Years I have come across several cases of a patient with an acute abdomen which then were transporting to the Emergency Room where the Physician diagnosed appendicitis. The point of the comment is not that a diagnosis can be made. But rather a provider can conduct some basic evaluation to be able to identify urgent medical conditions that require immediate medical intervention that is face-to-face. And to your statement of doing the appendectomy..the Emergency Room doc did not do those appendectomies either, a general surgeon did as I am sure you are aware. The point is that the patient is able to have some basic triage done virtual, and if the outcome of that exam warrant, they are elevated to the next higher level of care I may not appreciate your snarky comment at the end of the sentence. But do appreciate your healthy skepticism to Telehealth. It is reasonable and not uncommon I have found for both patient and clinician to have a quality of care concerns around Telehealth. If your interested would be interested in speaking with you more about this and gaining a better perspective of your concerns. “It’s not me. It’s the broken system.” Dr. Dean has nailed it!!! In my case, I had to finally quit from a “residency program”, which by the way stopped me from inflicting more damage to critical patients in the emergency department, because at the time I realized it was all a Ponzi scheme. I wasn’t doing things the wrong way, but I was seen as an abnormality because the collective believed the rules were absolutely true. That is the truth of the matter. But don’t get scared. It is not all doom and gloom. I think Dr. Dean speaks about finding individual solutions to combat and even solve collectivists problems. I can tell you I’m already on that path. Lastly, at the tip of all problems the natural economy and a healthy monetary system will naturally get rid of the rampant insanity that has taken a hold of our physicians, and prevent the damage being done to patients. I wish you all much success!

    Enjoyed this video so much!! As a current PA student, I can say from experience that this topic in medical programs is often bushed over when in reality it is SO IMPORTANT! You can teach someone the ins and outs of a disease state any day but actually being able to communicate about a disease to a patient you are diagnosing takes skill! Thank you Dr. Orsini!!

    I love Dr. Orsini’s message in this interview! I have participated in the BBN program myself, and as a future PA, this education is very relevant. I am glad to know that there are people like Dr. Orsini fighting to make a difference in patient experience and I look forward to hearing more discussion on this topic in the future.

    I am a first year PA student and have learned very quickly that there is a huge gap in patient communication. Our health care system is becoming more and more business based instead of patient centered and Dr. Orsini brings awareness to this pertinent issue and helps bring health care professionals back to the root of medicine - helping and caring for patients. Dr. Orsini’s communication training is what all health care providers need!

Dr. Orsini, thank you so much for this video!
